Meet Max

Max LeMarchant is the owner of New Amherst Homes, our principal builder here in the Village. He is also one of the visionaries behind our unique community design. His life long passion and goal is to create a ‘great place’ where people can enjoy an enhanced quality of life; providing affordable, quality built homes in a sustainable community connected to neighbours and nature and free from everyday stresses of urban living.

Native to Cobourg, Max has a deep commitment and passion for the area. Through tenacity, perseverance and a full-hearted belief in his dream, he has built out a master-planned, pedestrian-friendly community, one of the first of its kind in Canada.

New Amherst Village is home to Max and his family.
